Crank it up! Spend some time! Time is never wasted!

BUCKLE UP B**CHEZZ Sorry, had to pull that one out to get your full attention. I want to show the result of experimenting, scaping, scooping and noodling for around 30 - 40 hours by now. Also this blog takes time, man! Pffieeuw! Let's say at least 7-10 hours are spent on this bloggy so far. This is what I've got. It's still a very very .. very rough diamond. Half of a diamond or something like that I can only hope But I feel it is getting there slowly. Don't know why, but I'm more hopeful. Ok. To get that full attention again after some bad poetry: TAADAAA

News: I added more glitch in the beginning, corrected some small timings. Added the load bar. Added more fade ins and outs. collected more content. Did you see the Beyblade? :D More content: warps, spheres, orbs, wormholes, space, spaceships, outer space and so on. Started filling up my library to work with in Premiere Pro real good. That sums up the first part (2min) of the clip. I really enjoy this. I'm ready for phase 2! A NEW TECHNIQUE: HADOUKEN MULTIBLUR I started working on a figure of Street Fighter doing a hadouken or energy (ki) blast. You can check it out here: https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_Fighter_(computerspelserie)

How did I achieve the effect? I pasted the same video file of the fighter several times on top of eachother recap: you can easily do this by clicking on the clip and hold the ALT-key to drag a copy out of it and to place it above the original clip. Next I make a small time delay by dragging the copies a bit to the right (later in the timeline). After doing this a couple of times, I start making the clips further in time shorter and speed up the process. I increase speed of several, place them more 'on the beat'. Trying to be creative, you know? My timeline for this clip only looks like this:

Next I adjusted the blend mode and opacity: some of the copies I made 50% transparent and gave a hard light blending mode. The results are that some of the copies are see-through and it gives an mirror image or after image effect!

A Quick Lesson on Nesting, maybe? if you make such a big bunch of copies and want to adjust something to all together, you can not simply select all video clips and then adjust the effect controls. This is not how Adobe Premiere works. First you have to nest a bunch of clips into one clip, then you can it! If you select all the clips in the picture above, you can right click them and then choose nest. The pack of clips will then turn into a singular green bar. If you double click onto it, you can go into the nested files to adjust to clips that are in there separately!

It's not finished yet...

Eventually I showed this to Baruch Williamson and he said he really liked the result so far, but did not like the hadouken figure so much. I quote: 'It needs something more!' Oooh noo! Back to the drawing tables it is! Stay noodling! XOXO
